  After researching dog friendly hotels in Halifax, this seemed like the best option. It was a comfortable stay for me and my furry friend. The only thing to improve would be if they included bowls for dog food/water in the room when notified in advance that a doggo guest would be coming.

  We went to chocolate late to tryout their sweet games room, provided by Silver all games. It's like a vintage arcade in there. I highly recommend this for a cheap fun date night. Do come prepared with quarters and loonies though.

  I was fortunate to stay on a beautiful winter day when the lake was frozen enough to skate. It was definitely the highlight of my trip to Halifax. If you're staying in the winter, be sure to bring skates!

  Booked online and I hate online booking since I can never ask about the amenities that are important to me. Price was as low as I could manage while trying to get what I needed in a room. Traveling for medical purposes since I live in the far reaches of the province and some medical services are not available there. Not too far from ICCS clinic. Didn't find the scents too strong, and things were fairly clean. Room was one of the smallest I've stayed in outside a hostel, which was fine as long as the price was kept down. I just needed a clean, private and affordable place to sleep, a fridge for my special diet and a place to park the car. Was worried though as my husband was just getting over the flu and I needed a driver and I had only been able to get a room with one bed, so a substitute driver would have created issues. When booking online they ask for number of guests but not how many beds. You can specify cable TV (I really couldn't care less), but scent free w fridge or microwave is difficult. This room, like many came with a "free" breakfast I no doubt had to contribute to, although there was nothing there I could eat, but I forgot my plastic spoon at home and they had some, so that was a relief. My driver checked out the free breakfast. I was told it was extremely limited and catered to the person who likes eggs and sausage or dessert pastries for breakfast. There is a nearby convenience store where you can go buy some yogurt in a pinch.

  Good hotel with large enough rooms. Was there to meet up with my wife who had to stay in town for training. Brought the kids along for a night out of the house. They enjoyed the pool a lot and the hotel had some nice kids activities like a small arcade room. The setting by the lake is very nice, would love to visit again when it's warm and sunny.

  Fabulous place to stay. The pool is great, and has adult-only hours later on in the evening. A unique games room with vintage arcade games. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and the breakfast room with it's view of the lake is such a nice place to start the day. Great location. Friendly staff. Would stay here again.
